ICS for Single Resources and Initial Attack

Duration: 2 days (16 hours)

This course is designed for individuals working in entry-level Incident Command positions as single resources or part of a response organization.

Overview: This course introduces students to the principles of the Incident Command System (ICS) associated with incident related performance. Topics include leadership and management, delegation of authority, management by objectives, functional areas and positions, briefings, organizational flexibility, transitions and transfers.  This course is developed in conjunction with the US Fire Administration (Q-463) and the Emergency Management Institute (IS-200) . They are all National Incident Management System compliant.
Upon successful completion of this course the student will receive a certificate acknowledging they have met the requirements for course completion.
