He recently retired from Minnesota Power where he was their Fall Protection Program Administrator providing worker fall protection assistance at Energy Centers, Substations, Transmission and Distribution Structures, Hydro Electric Dams and Communication Towers. He thoroughly understands ANSI Z359-2007 and OSHA's applicable fall protection standards for general industry, construction and electric utility specific operations. |

Instructor Jean has been involved in Fire Information for 20 years. She has worked locally and nationally on all risk and fire. She has served on a National Incident Management Teams for 12 years (10 years Type 1, 2 years Type 2). She has worked as an Information Officer on floods, hurricanes, fire, large gatherings and hazardous spills, and the space shuttle recovery. Jean worked as the Information Officer for the MN Emergency Response agencies at the Minnesota Interagency Fire Center (MIFC) for 27 years. In this capacity she coordinated incident information for all-risk incident throughout Minnesota. Her college education is in Natural Resources, Chemistry and Education. |

Instructor Angus has 25 years in the environmental department of a large Minnesota power company. He has been a senior environmental operator for 15 years and has taught HAZMAT training for 12 years. Angus organized a upper Midwest HAZMAT drill at Minnesota Power with Duluth HAZMAT, Grand Rapids HAZMAT, 55th Division out of Minneapolis, Cohasset Fire Department and Fargo HAZMAT teams. Angus has given presentations on "How to Start and Maintain HAZMAT Teams" at the Minnesota Safety Council Seminars in Minneapolis MN. Angus received a Technician Level Certificate from the University of Minnesota in the 40 Hour Emergency Response Training course. Angus is OSHA competent at the HAZMAT Technician Level. |

Senior Consultant/Rescue Team Leader David currently is the leader for the Midwest Safety Consulting (MSC) Fall Protection and High Angle Rescue Team; prior to working with MSC he worked in the same capacity for D2000 Safety. The team provides fall protection and rescue for contractors and businesses working at heights. For the past 10 years he has been a member and is now the Officer on the Grand Rapids Hazardous Materials Team. This is one of eleven Chemical Assessment Teams in Minnesota and is supported and dispatched by MN Homeland Security and Emergency Management. He has also been a firefighter for the Grand Rapids Fire Department for 10 years. For the past six years David has instructed with the MN State College systems at the Mesabi Range Community College in Virginia. He holds several certifications in Hazmat, confined space and rescue procedures |
