POWERED INDUSTRIAL TRUCKS ( FORKLIFTS)

OVERVIEW: Employees that use fork trucks are required to receive training initially a refresher when ever there is a change in equipment or poor driving by employee. We recommend refresher training every three years. Employees will receive training that follows OSHA 1910.178.

Training will consist of the following subjects:

• How a fork truck works
• Controls
• Lifting system
• Stability
• Load capacities
• Fork truck operations
• Operational hazards
• Safety devices
• Inspections
• Fork truck proficiency will also be included in training

Course Length: 2 hours

Cost: $400 per class - maximum 20

Requirements: Proficiency required
